On March 9 in SVR history.
- 1861 A navvy was injured in the cutting south of Victoria Bridge when a 20lb clod of earth fell on him from a height of 20-40ft. He was taken to Bewdley in a fishing boat and 'immediately placed under the care of Dr Webster'.
- 1956 GWR Diesel Railcar W10W was destroyed in a fire at Bridgnorth.[1] "Passengers alighted safely before the driver moved the railcar alongside a water column at the platform end in an effort to save it."[2]
- 1985 D3022 hauled a passenger service for the first time, replacing 4930 Hagley Hall which had failed on the day[3].
- 2018 The Northern Belle stock was rebased from the SVR to Carnforth[4].
