  • 1964 Arley signal box closed under BR ownership.[1]
  • 1980: A "Ten Year Celebrations" event was held on 28-29 June to re-create the opening of the SVR a decade earlier. As 46443 and 8233 had been withdrawn for major overhaul, 3205 and 43106 were supplemented by 6960 Raveningham Hall, 7819 Hinton Manor, 7812 Erlestoke Manor and 5164.[2]
  • 1980: The 'Severn Valley Invader' railtour from Newcastle to Bewdley was worked between Birmingham New Street and Bewdley and return by BR Type 2s 25308 and 25305. 'Peak' 46025 brought the train from Newcastle. 3205 and 7812 took the train on to Bridgnorth.[3][4]
  • 2003 Arley Station was in course of being re-roofed, the work being funded by the Guarantee Company through subscriptions and donations[5].
