• 1959 GWR Diesel railcars worked some local passenger services on the Severn Valley Branch and Wyre Forest Line from the 1940s until the early 1960s. Railway photographer Peter Shoesmith filmed W20W at Tenbury Wells in 1959.
• 1973: Maj. Olver inspected the line and gave a favourable report.
• 2025: Saturday of the second Step Back to the 1940s weekend (held earlier in the year than normal).

Severn Valley Railway

Major Peter M. Olver of the Royal Engineers served with the DoT's Railway Inspectorate between 1965 and 1989. He regularly carried out the annual inspections and approved new works on the SVR.
