- 1994 A special train ran to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the founding of the Severn Valley Railway Society.[1]
- 2000 34027 Taw Valley in 'Hogwarts Express' livery began a four day country-wide tour to promote the publication of the novel 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'. The first day ran from Kings Cross via Didcot and Kidderminster to Crewe[2].
