- 1969: Last public appearance at Longmoor Military Railway of LMR 600 Gordon.
- 1975: A celebration evening was held at Castle Hall in Bridgnorth to mark the 10th anniversary of the Severn Valley Railway Society[1]
- 1980: The automatic crossing at Northwood Halt was commissioned.[2]
- 2003 A BBC drama Hearts of Gold was first broadcast, part of which had been filmed at Bridgnorth, posing as Pontypridd.
- 2025: The SVR staged a 2-day Railway 200: Trains through the Ages event on 5 and 6 July. Guest locomotive 46115 Scots Guardsman made a rare appearance on a heritage railway, while the Railway 200 Exhibition train 'Inspiration' and the HydroFLEX prototype bi-mode multiple unit appeared as static exhibits at Kidderminster. Narrow gauge steam locomotives Chaloner and Holy War gave footplate rides on a short length of track in the Engine House car park.
