On July 27 in SVR history.
- 1984 6960 Raveningham Hall carried out clearance tests at Kidderminster in preparation for the opening of the station on 30 July.[1]
- 1985 75069 attended the Open Day at Newport Station, giving rides in the attached Engineers Saloon in aid of a local charity.[2]
- 1987 46443 began work on the Cardigan Bay Express season, deputising for 4MT 75069. Despite only being a 2MT, the locomotive received praise from the BR crews[3].
- 2020: The first services ran on the SVR since the 'Covid' closedown in March. The passengers were SVR staff and volunteers, the intention being to test social distancing and other arrangements ahead of a public opening.
- 2022: Steam services resumed following the all-diesel service introduced on 13 July due to the fire risk.
- 2024: The first of 2 days of special services on the SVR to celebrate Kidderminster Station's 40th Anniversary.
