- 1971: The Severn Valley Railway Association was formed.[1]
- 1975: German locomotive DRG 64 305 arrived on the SVR[2].
- 2015: A special 50th Anniversary Dinner was arranged for founding members and early pioneers of the SVR, held at Spring Grove House, West Midland Safari Park, including a talk by Antiques Roadshow expert and railway enthusiast Paul Atterbury.
- 2019 Early morning filming for Enola Holmes took place, involving aerial shots of 2857 with the Toplights set travelling to Bridgnorth.
