Trimpley Reservoir can be seen to the west of the line between Bewdley and Arley. The reservoir, which is managed by Severn Trent Water, was opened in 1968 and covers 29 acres. It is mostly around 3ft deep, although around 40ft deep neat the valve tower in the main reservoir. A settling pool is located to the south of the main reservoir and a little below it.

Water taken from the River Severn is stored in the reservoir, and at times of peak demand is used to supplement the supply from the Elan Valley Aqueduct. The treatment plant is located on the opposite side of the line.

The reservoir is open to the public. It is used by the Trimpley Sailing Club, while other activities include angling, wildlife watching and walking. A public footpath between the reservoir and Eyemore Wood crosses the SVR via a gated foot crossing.
