Early history and link to LNER Carriage Group
Based The The LNER (SVR) Coach Fund was formed in summer 1976, initially to purchase LNER Brake Third Open 16660. This duly arrived on the SVR, but unfortunately proved to be in worse condition than thought, resulting in a period of storage at BewdleyHighley followed by eventual scrapping for parts recovery<ref>Article in SVR News 56, this group supports “LNER(SVR) Coach Fund Notes”</ref>. In late 1978 the restoration Fund’s next acquisition was [[LNER 24068 Composite Corridor Brake | LNER Composite Corridor Brake 24068]], already at the SVR under private ownership. Further purchases of LNER rolling stock followed, including [[LNER 43600 Open Third | Open Third 43600]] and upkeep [[LNER 70759 Gangwayed Full Brake/Pigeon Van| BTK (Corridor Brake 3rd) 70759]]. In 2010 ownership of all LNER these three carriages on was transferred to the [[Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd | SVR regardless Charitable Trust]]; at the same time the [[The LNER Carriage Group | LNER Carriage Group]] was formed as a department within the Trust, having common volunteers with the Fund<ref>Coach Fund web site</ref>. The Fund retains ownership of ownership. It also owns [[LNER 24105 Open Third | Wheelchair Open Third (WTO) 24105]] and [[GNR 2701 Composite Corridor | GNR Composite (CK) 2701]]. Its currently (Jan 2015) assisting with , and continues to support the restoration and upkeep of BTK (Corridor Brake 3rd) 70759 at Bewdley, and all LNER carriages on the upgrading SVR regardless of TTO (Tourist Third Open) 52255 at Kidderminsterownership. ==References==<references />
