Does 9466 get an X in the box now it's run passenger services? I can't remember the protocol. Thanks--Patrick Hearn (talk) 15:05, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

Good question. I think it started off with the intention of excluding gala guests unless they were already here on hire. However the nearest similar situation was Witherslack Hall in 2016 which arrived for the gala but failed, then worked the next three weekends and did get an X. However 9466 is not really on hire for any length of time so I'd say probably not for now, unless it turns up in this year's mileage table in SVR News (if there is one!). But I'm relaxed either way. --Robin (talk) 15:40, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. I've updated the description to clarify--Patrick Hearn (talk) 21:21, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

The 2024 winter gala is described as closing the 2023 season. Internally the SVR was categorising it as following the close of the season, and so omitted it from its 2023 events programme. I'm no longer a volunteer and so don't know if that changed. Clarity may appear in either SVR News or in the 2023 SVRH accounts, which one would expect to be published around June 2024.--Patrick Hearn (talk) 17:16, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
