26986 was privately owned by one of the Coach Fund's members. Richard Gunning added the note "''In 2016 its future as part of the SVR's LMS carriage fleet was assured through its purchase by the [[Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd|SVR Charitable Trust]].''" However I can't find it mentioned in either the 2016 or 2017 Charitable Trust Accounts or in SVR News around that time, and 26986 is not listed on the Charitable Trust's website as one of their vehicles. :Nor me. Let's leave it a short while to see if an answer comes up. I remember that in 2007 Chris Thomas was one of the RST trustees and might recall. Hugh McQuaide is a source of all things carriage, if no-one knows whjo was in the BR/LMS group at the time.
