This article gives the 5700 as a 4F. So does Scottish Steam: A Celebration By Keith Langston https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=mPNsBQAAQBAJ&lpg=PT337&ots=b3UyIbOWvR&dq=5700%20AND%204F&pg=PT337#v=onepage&q=5700%20AND%204F&f=false. However, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_locomotives_of_British_Railways and my Ian Allen give it as 3F, and the 9400 as 4F. I'm sure I read somewhere the power classification had been wrongly published and the error had been perpetuated. I suspect I got 4F for the original article from the Bookazine "British Steam Preserved", whose author was Keith Langston as above. Classic British Steam Locomotives (ISBN 1-86147-138-6) also goes with 3F in line with Wikipedia / Ian Allen. I'd be happy to change it to 3F as being the more likely, pending definitive information.--Robin (talk) 15:48, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

I have now found some definitive information, courtesy of Michael Clemens website. The document Midlands Division (Ex WR) & Gloucester District - Locomotive Route Availability (Branch Lines)- June 1963 confirms that BR(W) rated the 57xx as 4F. I will update the article accordingly.
