:Thanks. The layout and quantity of information looks fine to me. If it is going to be a sortable table then it probably ought to sort on surname not forename, but with relatively few rows and date being the natural order, I'd suggest not bothering to make it sortable.--[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 16:27, 28 January 2021 (UTC)

==Changes to Bewdley Station over time==
Continuing from the discussion on the SVR-Online Forum "Early history of the SVR on the British Newspaper Archive" thread, John Marshall lists the following changes at Bewdley being authorised by the GWR Board:
*19 Dec 1877: Enlarged island platform, footbridge, original island platform canopy, £1,666 (Loop Line related)
*12 Feb 1896: Additional toilet accommodation and corrugated iron lamp room, £100 (speculatively the island platform urinal and what is now the plinth by the north signal box respectively)
*9 Aug 1900: Extra sidings including the Rock siding and the far side of the yard £2,051
*1 May 1902: Improvement in passenger accommodation £680; Marshall says "...although what this was is not known".

I've had a play with the 1882, 1901 and 1926 OS Maps and the circa 1965 BR plan, trying to get them to roughly the same scale and alignment to see how thing changed over time. As best as I can tell bearing in mind the old OS maps are not that detailed, working down the 1965s map from north (footbridge end) to south (cattle dock end):

*General waiting room (to become parcels office and porters room) was added after 1901 so was probably part of the 1902 Improvement in passenger accommodation
*Gents toilet (to become parcels office and porters room) was already there in 1901 but was much smaller (or a different function) in 1882. That may therefore have been added or improved in 1896.
*Ladies Room and toilet (to become general waiting room) was obviously part of the main building from 1862, but was not necessarily used for that purpose from day 1 so may also have been part of the 1902 changes.
*Lamp & Oil room (to be removed) - appears to have been added after 1901. Possibly it replaced the one by the Bewdley North signal box, or was in addition to it?
*Parcels office (to be removed) - appears to have been added after 1901 (1902 again?)
