:Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T No 1 came to the SVR for testing prior to participating in the London Underground events in 2013. The visit was not announced in advance and was not open to the public, as it involved [[High speed testing|running at up to 50mph]] on certain sections of the line.

:Winter works saw track either side of [[Bewdley Tunnel]] being cleaned of badly contaminated ballast; the last part of the remedial work to the embankment slippage around the [[Accommodation bridge near Severn Lodge|County Boundary]] area; the partial rebuilding of the platform face at [[Eardington]]; lining of the loco water tank at [[Kidderminster]], and at the same location swapping the water column adjacent to platform 1 runround from a fixed column to a standard GWR swing arm type. At [[Waterworks Crossing|Waterworks straight]] welding was completed to a position that restored line speed following Winter Works in 2017. :On 16 January the [[Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd | SVR Charitable Trust]] announced it had reached its appeal target of £10,000 in under a month, for the cost of repairing the vehicles damaged by graffiti in December. A total of £13,000 was raised.
