418789 was one of four R&H shunters acquired from Patent Shaft in late 1980, arriving on the SVR on 29 October in that year.<ref name=SB8>SVR Stock Book Eighth Edition</ref> Christened ‘Archibald', it saw brief service on the Railway. It was later used as a source of spares for the other Rustons,<ref name=SVR133/> before being sold for scrap and cut up at CF Booth in Rotherham in April 1990.<ref>[http://www.uklocos.com/scrapped-results.asp?action=display&Id=1111 UKLocos.Com]</ref>
