It was used in trains for transporting aviation fuel from Edinburgh to Prestwick Airport, for which it was given BR Registration Number BR(W) 457is now a unique vehicle.<ref name=RHRWS/>
==Service==The tank was used by Regent Oil, which was re-branded as Texaco Ltd in 1967.<ref>[https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Regent_Oil_Co Grace's Guide]</ref> While used by Texaco, it was allocated TOPS number TEX 47881. Its final duty was in freight trains carrying aviation fuel from Edinburgh to Prestwick Airport for which it carried the registration number BR(W) 457<ref name=RHRWS/><ref name=SB9>SVR Stock Book Ninth Edition</ref>. ==Preservation==It arrived on the SVR in with a Chas Roberts-built example [[Regent Oil & Texaco 345 Aviation Fuel Tank Wagon|345]] from Cardiff on 23 July 1984having been acquired by Don Wilcox, and restored to all-over silver Texaco livery.
