==Preservation==
It arrived on the SVR with a Chas Roberts-built example [[Regent Oil & Texaco 345 Aviation Fuel Tank Wagon|345]] from Cardiff on 23 July 1984 having been acquired by Don Wilcox, and restored to all-over silver Texaco livery.  In 1985, 431 appeared on the main line when it was used in the [[The Severn Valley Railway on the main line#SVR Wagons used on the main line in preservation| GW 150 demonstration freight train]] which ran to Newport behind [[2857|GWR freight loco 2857]].<ref>SVR News 78</ref> Original plans to store diesel fuel were shelved and it has instead been used to store water for firefighting.<ref name=SB9/> It is seen at [[Bewdley]] in March 2015.
