Add SVR(H) vice-president
He has served as Chairman twice. He succeeded [[David Owen]] in 1993, in what he believed would be just a ‘holding’ capacity, saying: “I’ll take it on for six months”. In fact his tenure of office lasted six years. He was elected Chairman for a second time in 2002, succeeding [[Paul Fathers]], and remained at the helm for a further nine years. He served in the role of either Chairman or Vice Chairman for more than 20 years until 19 July 2011, handing over to [[Nick Paul]]. “I’m 66 now, and it’s time for a change”, he said.<ref>[https://www.svr.co.uk/images/pr/Industry%20mogul%20is%20new%20SVR%20Chairman%20(2).pdf SVR Press Release 25 July 2011] (Retrieved 20 April 2019)</ref>
