During 1961 it was withdrawn from passenger service to as become part of an open merchandise wagon. It is one of two OPEN Bs on the SVR, the other being Eastern Region [[GWR 102691 5 plank Open Goods Wagon:Category:Rolling stock previously part of emergency control trains|102691Emergency Control Train]].
