In recent years, rebuilding the only running LMS porthole corridor composite platform was completed in 2019 and the worldwater tower was dismantled in 2021. It re-entered service Although the station no longer features in September 2023 after a major overhauldaily operations, maintaining its record of running it resumed use during gala events in SVR service in every season 2023 more than 40 years since its arrival in 1968regular timetabled trains ceased.
