The reservoir, which is located between Arley and Highleymanaged by Severn Trent Water, immediately north of Borle Viaduct. In August 2004 it was the scene of a collision between a "Steam School Special" opened in 1968 and a van which drove onto the crossing without stoppingcovers 29 acres. H.M. Railway Inspectorate later found no blame was attached It is open to the Railwaypublic and is used by the Trimpley Sailing Club, while other activities include angling, wildlife watching and walking.
