It mainly occupies four buildings, Like the Loco Shed (ex-Portskewett)prototype, the Machine Shop (formerly the GWR Goods Shed)9369 was an unclassified or 'nondescript' saloon used for private hire, although unlike the Paint Shop (ex-Heaton Mersey) and the Boiler Shop. In 2021 the [[Charitable Trust]] launched the "Home and Dry appeal" for an upgrade project including a new roofprototype, new lighting and an overhead craneit did not actually have toplight windows.
