In service Like the open firsts were often prototype, 9369 was an unclassified or 'nondescript' saloon used as dining cars or as part of excursion trains. Since preservationfor private hire, 3109 has mostly been used in although unlike the [[Severn Valley Limited]] and [[Severn Valley Venturer]] dining sets but has now been de-classified and transferred into general passenger serviceprototype, it did not actually have toplight windows.
