It is located approximately ¾ of a mile south of Shrewsbury station, and was used to carry controls [[Sutton Bridge Junction]]. It originally controlled the company bulldozers during wartime. Only two LORIOT Ys were ever built; connection between the other appeared in Severn Valley Branch and the film 'The Titfield Thunderbolt' but has since been scrapped leaving 41990 as a unique representative rest of the typenetwork at Shrewsbury.
