It is located approximately &frac34; of a special type mile south of well wagon intended for moving chaired sleepers. It was preserved on the SVR in 1973 Shrewsbury station, and appeared on the main line in the GWR 150 demonstration freight train which ran to Newport behind controls [[2857|GWR 2857Sutton Bridge Junction]] in 1985. It required a major overhaul in 2011-12 after being "''probably originally controlled the connection between the Severn Valley Branch and the most abused historic wagon on rest of the SVR''"network at Shrewsbury.
