It is located approximately ¾ of a mile south of Bewdley Shrewsbury station, allows access between Platform 1 and Platforms 2&3. It dates from the opening of the controls [[Kidderminster Loop LineSutton Bridge Junction]] in 1878. The station was closed for 3 weeks in 2001 while It originally controlled the connection between the Severn Valley Branch and the rest of the footbridge was refurbishednetwork at Shrewsbury.
