It was restored preserved on the SVR in 1979 1973 and appeared on the main line in time the GWR 150 demonstration freight train which ran to take part Newport behind [[2857|GWR 2857]] in the 1980 1985. It required a major overhaul in 2011-12 after being "'Rocket 150' cavalcades at Rainhill, and also served as probably the most abused historic wagon on the SVR's main line support coach in the mid-1980s'".
