It was preserved on the SVR's in 1973 and appeared on the main line in the GWR 150 demonstration freight train which ran to Newport behind [[GWR Large Prairie 4150 2857| 4150]] and [[GWR Large Prairie 5164|51642857]]in 1985. 4141 was resident It required a major overhaul in 2011-12 after being "''probably the most abused historic wagon on the SVR between 1973 and 1988, although it left after being sold to a new owner before its restoration at [[Hampton Loade]] was completed''".
