It was preserved on the SVR in 1973 and appeared on the main line in the Industrial RevolutionGWR 150 demonstration freight train which ran to Newport behind [[2857|GWR 2857]] in 1985. After It required a major overhaul in 2011-12 after being "''probably the arrival of most abused historic wagon on the Severn Valley Railway, SVR'''Jackfield Sidings''' served a number of the local brick and tile works as well as other industries. The sidings were progressively extended; by 1900 reaching almost ½ mile in length and containing three ground frames, each controlling the local points and signals".
