It has a welded underframe with a teak body and a Rexine interior dates from the opening of the [[Kidderminster Loop Line]] in art-deco style1878. It entered SVR service The station was closed for 3 weeks in 1982 with its restoration still incomplete, carrying its BR-era number GE10078E for ten years before a full restoration to 1937 condition as 24068 2001 while the footbridge was completed in 2000refurbished.
