It lay between the first class 52 villages of Berrington to be preserved in 1976. D1062 was the only privately owned diesel locomotive south west and Cross Houses to take part in the Rocket 150 celebrations at Rainhill north east. The station suffered the greatest decline in May 1980 ticket sales between 1903 and has since taken part in galas on other railways as well as appearing regularly 1938 of any station on the SVRBranch.
