It arrived was one of the SVR’s early locomotives, arriving 'light engine' direct from Lostock Hall on 2 August 1968. Since returning to service, 43106 has been a regular on the SVR in June 2017 for restoration as well as appearing [[The Severn Valley Railway on the main line |on the main line]] and at the [[Diesel DepotSVR-based locomotives visiting other events |gala events on other heritage railways]] and in January 2019 carried out its first shunt for many a year.
