It was reconverted one of the SVR’s early locomotives, arriving 'light engine' direct from Lostock Hall on 2 August 1968. Since returning to service, 43106 has been a standard goods van upon its return to regular on the GWR in 1945 but has been restored SVR as well as a gunpowder van in preservationappearing [[The Severn Valley Railway on the main line |on the main line]] and at [[SVR-based locomotives visiting other events |gala events on other heritage railways]].
