}}LNER 4236 Gangwayed Passenger Brake (bogie Pigeon Van) was resident on the SVR between 1975 and 1983. It has since been scrapped. ==4236 in service==4236 was an example of the varnished teak rolling stock designed by Nigel Gresley for the LNER. It was built at York in 1938 to diagram 245. It was renumbered 70459 in 1946, and ended service in 1974 having been renumbered E70459E and repainted in BR Blue livery. ==4236 in preservation==4236 was purchased by a member of the Erlestoke Manor Fund , arriving on the SVR in April 1975. It was repainted in LNER brown "imitation varnished teak" livery and attended in time to attend the Rainhill 150 Celebrations at Shildon in that year. On return to the SVR it became the The Erlestoke Manor Fund's shop at Bewdley, a role it retained until 1983 when it was swapped for LNER 24105 Open Third. The Railway Heritage Register Carriage Survey reports that 4236 has been scrapped since leaving the SVR. <gallery>4236_and_813_Dave_massey.jpg|4236 in LNER brown livery is seen posed with GWR 813.
