LMS Corridor Third (TK) 2300 was built in 1946 at Derby to diagram number 2119 lot number 1407.
Although the LMS was active in building Open carriages following the appointment of W A (later Sir William) Stanier as CME, they continued to build some Corridor Thirds at the same time. LMS Corridor Third (TK) 2300 was a Stanier design, although by the time it was built in 1946 H G Ivatt had become the CME of the LMS. It was built at Derby to diagram number 2119 lot number 1407. It features seven third class compartments, and two lavatories, with a side corridor. One post-war modification saw the introduction of an all-welded roof.  2300 arrived on was originally purchased for the SVR in February 1978 by a member of a then active preservation group, the ‘LMS & BR Coach Fund’. It arrived on the SVR as an empty shell from Bass Charrington in Plymouth, where it had been used by the barrel-making department. It In a six-year restoration it was fitted out with an interior salvaged from coach 13045 which was scrapped. It is owned by After a period of use it was repainted in the then new Kidderminster paint-shop during 1997. The LMS & BR Coach Fund donated all its vehicles to [[Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd | The SVR Charitable Trust]]in 2007, following which 2300 received a further repaint in 2008. 2300 is regularly used in the LMS Maroon set (Sel L).
