On July 21 in SVRSevern Valley Railway history.
- 1856 The third Severn Valley Railway Act received Royal assent, authorising further changes to the route at Hartlebury and Bridgnorth.[1]
- 1859 The Act of Parliament to build the Tenbury Railway received Royal assent.[2]
- 1962 Six BR Standard Class 4 tanks were allocated to Shrewsbury 89A for the first time, some displaced from the London, Tilbury and Southend line by electrification.[3] They remained until the end of passenger working, especially north of Bridgnorth.[4][5]
- 1984 The Light Railway Order was granted for the final extension of services from Bewdley to Kidderminster.[6]
- 1996 Chiltern Railways was formed from part of the nationalised British Rail. It subsequently operated services between London Marylebone and Kidderminster.
- 2002 Hampton Loade Station staged their second National Velocipede Rally[7].
- 2017 The film The Black Prince had its worldwide release.[8] Filming took place using GWR 2857 at Bewdley on 18 November 2014.
