98 finished its GWR service being used for parcels traffic, and was purchased from Manchester Red Bank Sidings in 1978 by the GWR 813 Preservation Fund. It was used on SVR trains in 1978/79, and later used as a workshop at Kidderminster. As with the earlier ‘SnakeGWR telegraphic code signifying a passenger brake van C’, this full brake features a central Guard’s compartment with luggage compartments at each end, while a side corridor allows passengers to pass through the carriage.
98 finished its GWRGreat Western Railway service being used for parcels traffic, and was purchased from Manchester Red Bank Sidings in 1978 by the GWRGreat Western Railway 813 Preservation Fund.
