Built in 1914, 93016 was one of over 2000 10 ton goods vans built to Diagram V16.<br> Sent overseas as part of the war effort in 1917, it returned to the GWR in 1920.<br> Condemned in 1961, it was retained as a service vehicle by BR (North Eastern Region) until bought by [[The GWR 813 Preservation Fund]] in 1972,<ref>http://www.gwr813.org/gwr813newsletter_B1.htm</ref><ref>A history of GWR goods wagons.
