GWR Hawksworth Corridor Third (TK) No 829 was built ordered by the GWR before nationalisation, but completed at the Swindon works by BR in 1947 as lot no 1691 to diagram C82. In comparison with the later Collett carriages, the Hawksworth carriages can be distinguished by the sloping ended roof profile, while the length was also increased by 3ft to 64 ft. The Corridor Third seated 64 passengers. 829 was purchased direct from passenger service, arriving from Didcot in August 1968. It received full GWR livery in in 1977, and went on to feature in the Rocket 150 cavalcade at Rainhill in [[Severn Valley Railway Timeline 1980-1989#1980 | 1980]]. As of July 2015, 829 is in 1948 service and bought normally used in set GW2. It is finished in GWR 1942-1947 livery, featuring the coat of arms flanked by 'GREAT' and 'WESTERN'. It is owned by [[Great Western (SVR) Assoc. | The Great Western (SVR) Association]] in 1968==References==SVR Stock Book, Ninth Edition<br>Railway Heritage Register Carriage Survey
