Built ==80982 in service==80982 was built at Swindon in 1913to Diagram CC7, Lot 767, 80982 now serves as the [[Wagon Department]]'s mess vanand was allocated to Reading Signal Dept.<ref>GWR813.org</ref> Workshop and tool vans built to Diagram CC were not allocated a telegraphic code. Owned by [[The <ref>A history of GWR 813 Preservation Fund]]goods wagons. A G Atkins, W Beard, D J Hyde, R Tourret. 1986. ISBN 0-7153-8725-1<br/ref>As a Departmental wagon, it carried the number DW 80982.
==See Also80982 in preservation==After being decommissioned by BR(W), 80982 was rescued from Bristol, arriving on the SVR in May 1972. It was originally intended for storage,<ref>SVR News 24</ref> but has been fully restored. It is operational but is normally located at [[Bewdley]] next to the [[Bewdley Goods Shed|Goods Shed]] where it serves as the [[Wagon Department]]'s mess van. It is owned by [[The GWR 813 Preservation Fund]].
It appeared on the main line in 1985 as part of the [[The Severn Valley Railway on the main line#SVR Wagons used on the main line in preservation| GW 150 demonstration freight train]] which ran to Newport behind [[2857|GWR freight loco 2857]].<ref>SVR News 78</ref>
