Current status: wheels removed
*By August 2015 the boiler had been lifted from the frames. Major work on the boiler at Bridgnorth Works was planned to start in June 2017, however on 10 April 2018 it departed from Bridgnorth Works by road for the workshops of Northern Steam Engineering Ltd. at Stockton, where overhaul commenced.
*By September 2016 the cylinder block had been removed and examined. This revealed that the cylinders had been previously patched, and were therefore considered beyond repair. 3D Computer Aided Design work for replacement cylinders lead on 11 June 2018 to newly cast cylinder blocks being delivered to Bridgnorth from Shakespeare Foundry in Preston, Lancashire.
*The driving wheels will were removed from the frames on 14 July 2018, so they could be sent to the South Devon Railway for fitting new tyres as soon as they can be removed from the frames.
Updates on the overhaul can be found on the news section of the [http://www.4930hagleyhall.org.uk/news/news.html Friends of Hagley Hall web site].
