Diesel Traction Group
Diesel Traction Group (DTG) was formed in 1977 from a group of six enthusiasts led by Chris Reid and Colin Massingham. The Group owns/manages four locomotives:
- D821 Greyhound: Class 42 ‘Warship’ (based at SVR)
- D7029: Class 35 ‘Hymek (based at SVR)
- D1015 Western Champion: BR Class 53 ‘Western’ (based at Boden Rail)*
- D8568: BR Class 17 ‘Clayton Type 1’ (based at Chinnor & Princes Risborough)
*The Group's main line operations are carried out in conjunction with Pathfinder Tours & Vintage Trains (Tyseley).[1] From time to time D1015 has visited the SVR for Diesel Galas or attention from the DTG Engineering Staff.
