2015 marks the 50th anniversary of beginning of the Severn Valley Railway in preservation. A number of events are planned in celebration, including the following:

** GWR pannier tank No. 5786, a former resident currently liveried as L92, from the South Devon Railway

** GWR 2-8-0T No. 4270, from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway

** LNWR coal tank No. 1054, from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

*[http://www.svr.co.uk/SEItem.aspx?a=49 '''Step back to the 40s''']: June 27th-28th, July 4th-5th. The SVR turns the clocks back to the 1940s with a lighthearted journey back to wartime Britain.
