Class 50 Alliance Limited, commonly referred to as 'The Class 50 Alliance Ltd ', owns three four Class 50 (English Electric Type 4) diesel locomotives , and operates a fourth fifth which is owned by a small number [[50031 Consortium Limited]].<ref>[https://www.svrlive.com/copy-of its shareholders. -news-211016-1-high-sherrif SVRLive]</ref> The Company was formed in 2013 company is supported by the merger of two groups, [[The Fifty Fund and Project Defiance]]. All are resident on the SVR. It has a sixth locomotive on loan.

The Alliance’s Company was originally named Project Defiance Limited when incorporated in 1992.
