The Class 50 Alliance Ltd Limited owns four Class 50 (English Electric Type 4) diesel locomotives and , three of which are resident on the SVR. The Class 50 Alliance Ltd was formed in 2013 by the merger of two groups, The Fifty Fund and Project Defiance.

==History==Class 50 Alliance Limited is a Private Limited Company, company number 02740837. The Alliance’s locomotives Company was originally named Project Defiance Limited when incorporated in 1992. At that time the principal objective was to acquire, restore and operate [[BR Class 50 50049 Defiance | 50049 Defiance]].<ref>Companies House Incorporation details</ref> In November 2006, the shareholders approved a resolution to acquire the assets of The Fifty Fund, including [[BR Class 50 50035 Ark Royal | 50035 Ark Royal]] and [[BR Class 50 50044 Exeter | 50044 Exeter]], with effect from January 2007.
