The SVR's two BR Mark 1 RBs are normally used in [[Carriages#Set S|Set S]], 'The [[Severn Valley Limited]]' diner set in GWR Chocolate & Cream and [[Carriages#Set VV|Set VV]], 'The [[Severn Valley Venturer]]' diner set in BR maroon. LNER 643 normally serves as the buffet car in [[Carriages#Set N|Set N]], the LNER teak set.
[[Carriages formerly resident on the SVR#Carriages_scrapped_while_at_the_SVR|BR Mk 1 Buffet Restaurant (RBR) no. 1678]] was resident between 1996 and 2003, when it was dismantled for spares.
