Overall view of Northbridge

Members of the Warley Model Railway Club have built a model based on Bridgnorth in preservation, credited by the Club to Stephen Meredith.

The layout is a faithful representation of Bridgnorth modelled in preservation around the time of the completion of the boiler shop. All aspects of the model have been recreated including classic model cars in the car park, Morris dancers on the platform, traction engines on display by the shed and the Battle of Britain memorial flight overhead has been recreated with the Vulcan, Lancaster and Spitfire depicted in 1:72 scale (4mm).[1]

Rolling stock and locomotives on the layout reflect the SVRSevern Valley Railway stock book. For operational interest the layout also runs preserved locomotives that have visited the SVRSevern Valley Railway for any length of time, by the way of a gala weekend.

The model featured in the December 2018 edition of Railway Modeller magazine.
