200642 was built at Shildon in 1974 to Diagram 1/286 (VB003F), Lot 3480. The [[TOPS code]] VBA on this particular van signifies that it had an unventilated body with full length doors and fitted with air brakes. 200642 arrived on the SVR in September 2018, carrying the livery of former owners EWS. It is was intended for use by the P-Way department, following the recent acquisition for that purpose of other air-braked rolling stock including the [[BR 'Rudd' Ballast Wagons|Rudd]], [[BR 'Seacow' 40t Bogie Ballast Hoppers|Seacow]] and [[BR 'Parr' Bogie Rail Wagons|Parr]] wagons.
