DB 992329 is a 4-wheeled 17-ton steel ballast hopper, Telegraph code 'MACKEREL', TOPS code ZMV. It was built in 1951 by Metro Cammell to Diagram 1/583 Lot 2284.[1]

The 'Mackerel' was vacuum braked with a single central hopper door operated from an end platform.

The Railway Heritage Register Wagon Survey states this vehicle was inspected at the SVR in August 2006, but does not include a photograph.
