DB991124 (the DB prefix indicating a Departmental vehicle of BR origin) was part of a single batch of 120 of these wagons built by BR at Swindon between December 1949 and August 1950. <ref name=SB9>SVR Stock Book Ninth Edition</ref>.
It arrived on the SVR in on 18 December 1990 from Southall, London, owned by Mr J J Smith.<ref name=SB9/> It was regularly used by the P-Way department as a spoil carrier, although by 2012 it was stored in [[Kidderminster Carriage Shed]].<ref>Gareth Price Photo</ref> In 2017 it was photographed at Bridgnorth.
